Founded in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, San Francisco Music Studio began with a small group of adults and children, helping them connect with their musical passions and curiosity. Despite the challenges of lockdown, the studio quickly grew online, becoming a space where students of all ages could explore and nurture their love for music.

Lead teacher Jonathan Dawson grew up in a musical family and community, where he witnessed firsthand how the desire to play an instrument, combined with dedication and practice, could foster a lifelong love of music. This passion led him to master guitar, bass, drums, and piano.

With experience performing in orchestras, choirs, bands, churches, and various venues around the world, Jonathan brings his unique expertise and a personalized teaching approach to help each student understand, learn, and achieve their musical goals.
